The Hannibal Challenge - 12th to 15th September 2008
  
Fredericks Foundation is proud to present the Hannibal Challenge which takes place in the beautiful and remote setting of the French Alps in the Queyras National Park. This is a challenging two day walk over the Alps in the footsteps of the great Hannibal. You will walk in teams of between 6 and 8, with the option to choose the Bronze, Silver or Gold route, whichever is best suited to the abilities of you and your team.

WHAT IT COSTS:

• £190 per person

WHAT IT INCLUDES:

• 3 nights accommodation
• Coach transfers to and from the airport on recommended flights
• All meals and wine, including packed lunch on Saturday & Sunday

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• That you personally undertake to raise a minimum of £400 (exc Gift Aid) in sponsorship
• That you will undertake to abide by the rules of the Challenge and the organiser’s decisions

It is vital that you are physically fit and well prepared for the potential fast changing weather conditions in the Alps.  Teams must be prepared to undertake appropriate training and to abide by the conditions of the Challenge.
 
Our objective is to raise money for Fredericks Foundation through sponsorship to support the work of the charity.
 
Fredericks Foundation is a charity that helps disadvantaged people to start their own business as a means to achieve financial independence and renewed confidence and self-esteem.  Our clients are all unemployed when we first meet them and they may also be single parents, disabled or have served a prison sentence – all groups of people who find it difficult or impossible to obtain financial support through regular channels.  For all of them self-employment offers a real chance to support themselves and their families once again.
 
Fredericks offers microloans of up to £5000 and the business support that enables people to turn their vision into reality. Currently Fredericks Foundation has funded nearly 500 businesses and is acknowledged as having one of the lowest cost bases for its output.
